Wesley DeFoor has led DeFoor Ventures, LLC and Cornerstone Development Partners, LLC with strategic vision and management experience in developing commercial real estate projects throughout the Southeastern United States.
In his 20-year career, Wesley has delivered business success for clients and partners in multiple facets of the real estate business, including construction, leasing, and development. His business track record and principled character has led Wesley to develop great partnerships over the years.
One such partnership was with the late Robert F. Kern of Cornerstone Development Partners, LLC. The CDP Medical Building project is located near Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. This 53,000-square-foot medical office building is just about ready for launch.
Wesley also led key initiatives for Cornerstone as its senior vice president. His focus included site selection, entitlement, and the design/construction process. His excellence in planning and project management has resulted in working with a number of different partners bringing the best expertise to each project.
He is currently leading an extensive range of innovative development projects. These include the Cornerstone Medical Building; the redevelopment of the historic Oconee School in Athens, Georgia into a 23,000-square-foot multifamily project; and a Class AA multifamily building project at 2909 Peachtree Road in Atlanta. He is also developing tracts along Hollowell Parkway, working alongside Georgia Institute of Technology for access into this mixed use project.
Wesley began his career in the construction business with the Fortune-Johnson Company. He brought this experience into commercial real estate brokerage when he joined Advantis Realty. There, Wesley focused on tenant representation and investment sales of commercial properties. In 2003, Wesley formed his own development company. Iin 2004 he guided development of retail projects in Atlanta, as well as mixed-use and resort style developments in the Florida Panhandle.
As an expert on the future of retail in office buildings and on mixed-use development, Wesley offers key insights at industry meetings and professional association gatherings.
Wesley is an Atlanta native. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia and supports the arts, culture, civic, and nonprofit causes throughout metro Atlanta.
